While London may be a buzzing place to visit now, late fall will also be a prime
time when the Somerset House opens its Valentino: Master of Couture exhibit. The gallery will
showcase over 130 of his opulent gowns from as early as the 1950s. The dresses
have been worn by fashion icons such as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Grace Kelly,
Sophia Loren, Julia Roberts, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
"Each of these designs have a beautiful story," Valentino said in a press release. "The atelier crafted each so diligently by hand, taking hours, sometimes days to complete. The details are incredibly intricate, though outside the runway shows and events, the dresses have rarely been seen, so to be able to showcase these designs at Somerset House, where they can be seen in great detail by the public, is very unique."
The exhibition runs from November 29 through March 3.
