Estée Lauder Debuts Celestial-Inspired Holiday Compacts

Astrology junkies will flip for Estée Lauder’s new Zodiac Powder Compact Collection. Each of the 12 gold compacts houses translucent pressed powder and is adorned with a modern interpretation of the star sign’s traditional imagery—such as an embossed ram for Aries and crab claws for Cancer. Along with brilliant matching Swarovski birthstone clasps, these makeup must-haves offer just the right amount of season sheen. You can also snag bold gold and blue snakeskin compacts to celebrate the Chinese Zodiac’s 2013 year of the snake.

Nine West Undergoes a Rebranding

In a bid to intrigue trendsetters, Nine West has unveiled a brand facelift that focuses on reformatted stores with easy to shop trend walls, reports WWD. A taste for slogans has emerged, as well: Along with the main tagline, "9W. We do Shoe," the store walls are emblazoned with cheeky titles like "Ballet Bar" and "The World According to Pumps."

New York lays claim to one of the first redone addresses to open its doors, with the flagship at 750 Lexington Avenue debuting the new look this past Sunday. By 2013, all stand-alone locations in the U.S. are scheduled to have undergone the chic treatment.
