Tiffany’s May Discontinue Its Iconic Heart Necklace

Tiffany’s may be losing some of its most iconic designs. The luxe jeweler’s 38-year partnership with Italian designer Elsa Peretti—which has produced instantly recognizable pieces like the bean, the open heart, and the starfish—is reportedly coming to an end.
Although 72-year-old Peretti receives royalties on those pieces (which since 2009 have accounted for 10 percent of Tiffany’s sales), she has expressed interest in “retiring” her relationship with Tiffany & Co., WWD reports.
If that happens, Tiffany will only have a year and a half to sell Peretti-designed pieces. After that, their sale will no longer be allowed. So if you’re a fan of anything Peretti—the time to buy may be now!
