DVF’s Collaborations: A Timeline

On Friday, the Times reported that Diane von Fürstenberg has partnered with Current/Elliot on a collection of skirts and ‘slacks’. Though JBrand’s been the go-to denim company for designers looking to introduce denim into their ready-to-wear collections (Christopher Kane, Proenza Schouler, Erdem), Current/Elliott did collaborate with Marni two years ago.

The LA-based contemporary collection, which was founded by celebrity stylists Emily Current and Meritt Elliot and is now run by Serge Azria (Max’s brother), offered their silhouettes to Diane’s signature prints resulting in summery skinny jeans and denim skirts, like the one at left.  Though it’s von Fürstenberg ‘s first foray into the lucrative world of denim, she’s become increasingly fond of collaborations, especially in the last year.  Below, we chart her growing portfolio.
